Byron’s Great Grandparents moved from Croatia in 1920 and opened up a restaurant called “Gega’s
Lunch”. Byron’s passion for entrepreneurship was born working in that restaurant side by side with
three generations of Gegas. He attended Portland State University and studied History and minored in
Sociology and worked as an intern at Smith Barney while attending.
Byron has spent the past 20 years in all aspects of the financial services industry. He built an
independent financial planning practice to a top 1% practice in the industry before selling his business to
take an executive leader role with a fortune 250 company. Byron led both employee channel and
independent channel advisors to grow their businesses smartly and sustainably at above market growth
rates. In 2014, Byron left the corporate world to devote all of his time to coaching and consulting with
owners of independent wealth management businesses.
On a more personal note, Byron is married to his beautiful wife Aubri and has two wonderful children in
Breighela and Gavin. They also have their dog Henry, and enjoy taking walks, skiing, or just going to see
the Portland Trail Blazers play.
